Amber Heard was born and raised in Austin , Texas. His father, David , is a contractor, and her mother , Paige , is a researcher for the state.
Heard attended St. Michael 's Catholic Academy in Austin until her junior year , when he left to pursue a career in Hollywood.
As a teenager , Heard was active in the drama department of his school and appeared in local commercials and campaigns.
At the age of 16, his best friend died in a car crash and Heard, who was raised Catholic , subsequently declared atheist , due to the influence of the works of Ayn Rand.
Career
His debut as host of television came in 2007 in the TV show Hidden Palms CW .
His breakthrough came in 2008 with performances in Never Back Down and Pineapple Express.
In 2009 Heard starred in The Stepfather and also had a small role in the horror comedy Zombieland .
He has also participated in The Joneses (2010 )
Heard claimed to be bisexual in 2010, in the event the GLAAD 25th anniversary and had a relationship with the American photographer Tasya van Ree from 2008 to 2011 . Currently in a relationship with actor Johnny Depp since early November 2012.
