Blake Lively Ellender (August 25, 1987, Los Angeles) is an American actress and model, known for playing the sexy billionaire Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl (The CW) series.
He has also appeared in movies, including Accepted, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, The Town, Green Lantern, and Savages.

Lively was born in Tarzana, Los Angeles, California, daughter of actors Ernie Lively and Elaine Lively (born Ernest W. Brown). He grew up in a family practitioner Southern Baptist Convention. Blake is the youngest of five brothers, has an older brother, Ernie Lively, two half-sisters, Lori and Robyn, and a half-brother, Jason. Her parents and all her siblings are, or have been, in the entertainment industry.

During her childhood, her parents took her with them to acting classes where they taught because they did not want to leave her with a babysitter. During the summer between their junior and senior year of high school, his brother Eric asked his agent to send her to auditions for a period of a few months.
