Colin James Farrell (born Castleknock, Ireland, May 31, 1976) is an Irish actor Golden Globe winner has worked on films including Tigerland, Daredevil, Miami Vice, Minority Report, Phone Booth, The Recruit, Alexander, SWAT, and In Bruges Total Recall.
Raised in Castleknock, Ireland. He is the son and nephew of former players. Eamon Farrell, his father instilled his passion for football, but as a teenager he discovered that his true passion was acting and drama. He pointed to a dance troupe that was touring Australia.
Upon returning, he enrolled in the Gaiety School of Drama in Dublin, where he studied acting and interpretation with his sister. The Gaiety was the most promising students.
And so, the capital of Ireland went to London.
