Ryan Rodney Reynolds (born October 23, 1976, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) is a Canadian actor of films and television series. Success and recognition came with his participation in the comedy called Two Guys and a Girl (1998-2001), before he began his career as a comedian and dramatic actor for the film industry in Hollywood. He is recognized for his work on productions including Blade: Trinity (2004), The Amityville Horror (2005), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), The Proposal (2009) and Buried (2010). In 2010 People magazine chose him as the sexiest man of the year.

Ryan Reynolds was born on October 23, 1976 in the city of Vancouver, Province of British Columbia, Canada. Son of Jim, wholesaler of food and semi-professional boxer, and Tammy, a saleswoman at retail. He is the youngest of four children, two of whom are police officers. In 1994 Reynolds graduated from Kitsilano Secondary School Secondary School located in Vancouver. Later, he attended Kwantlen College, located in Richmond, but dropped out before completing his career.

From 2002 to 2007, Reynolds was romantically linked to singer Alanis Morissette, and the couple became engaged in 2004. However, in July 2006, People magazine reported that the couple had separated, although neither confirmed this news. In February 2007, the couple mutually decided to dissolve their engagement.

On May 5, 2008 it was announced that Ryan Reynolds was engaged to actress Scarlett Johansson married on September 27 of that year. The December 14, 2010 Ryan and Scarlett gave a statement to People magazine to announce the end of their marriage.

On September 9, 2012 he married the actress Blake Lively in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
