Shia Saide LaBeouf (Los Angeles, California, June 11, 1986) is an American actor, Daytime Emmy winner.
In the beginning he starred Even Stevens (Disney Channel) series and the movie Holes (2003). For a short time he had supporting roles in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003), I, Robot (2004) and Constantine (2005). But everything changed in 2007, when he starred in two films: Transformers and Disturbia. A year later she filmed alongside Harrison Ford and under the orders of Spielberg, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) Eagle Eye (2008). Shia LaBeouf (pronounced " Shy- uh La- Buff " 5 ) was born in Los Angeles, California on June 11, 1986 , the only child of Shayna (née Saide ) a ballerina visual artist and jewelry designer turned and Jeffrey Craig LaBeouf , a veteran of the Vietnam War that " drifted " from job to job , working as a circus and mime as a rodeo clown ; his maternal grandfather , who shared his first name, was a comedian who worked in the Borscht Belt of the Catskill Mountains , and her grandmother was a drug addict and a lesbian beatnik poet Allen Ginsberg was associated with . The name " Shia " is Hebrew for ' gift of God ' and the surname LaBeouf is a misspelling of " Le Boeuf " , French for ' beef ' . LaBeouf has said he comes from " five generations of artists " and was "acting when he came out of the womb."

LaBeouf 's father is a Cajun ( once described by LaBeouf as a " Ragin 'Cajun " 8) and mother born in New York is Jewish , LaBeouf was raised in the Jewish religion and had a Bar Mitzvah . LaBeouf has described his parents as " hippies " , his father as "tough as nails and a different breed of man " , and his upbringing as similar to a " hippie way of life " , stating that his parents were " strange people pretty , but they loved me and I loved them . " LaBeouf 's father cultivated cannabis, and the two smoked marijuana together when LaBeouf was 10. LaBeouf has also said that his father was " on drugs" during his childhood, being addicted to heroin and was placed in drug rehabilitation for heroin addiction while LaBeouf's mother was "trying to hold the fort ." His parents eventually divorced , and had what he described as a " good childhood " , growing up poor with his mother (who worked selling fabrics and brooches ) in Echo Park , Los Angeles , California and attending a predominantly Latino and African-American school.

LaBeouf would "create things , story lines and fictitious tales " during his childhood and practiced stand -up comedy around his neighborhood as an "escape " from a hostile environment. He began performing stand -up and " talk dirty " at comedy clubs ( including The Ice House in Pasadena ) at the age of ten ( describing his appeal as having " disgustingly dirty " material and a " mouth 50 in the mouth of a ten " ) . Later, LaBeouf found an agent through the Yellow Pages and was accepted after making his stand -up act for her and pretending to be his own manager, promoting himself in the third person .
