Tyra Lynne Banks (Los Angeles, California, December 4, 1973) is a supermodel, television presenter and film production company. Banks is recognized as one of the most famous models of the 1990s. Acquired popularity as one of the original annual parade of Victoria's Secret "Angels". In 1997, he became the first African American model posing for swimsuits edition of Sports Illustrated. He retired from modeling in 2005 and since then it is the producer and host of two television shows: America's Next Top Model and The Tyra Banks Show. Currently he is the most famous model of television, according to a U.S. magazine, which also places it as the woman who has income in primetime U.S. television.
Banks was born in Inglewood (California ) and attended Immaculate Heart High School, an independent all-girls Catholic Los Angeles private school. In the growth stage was very thin and often teased her ; she was considered an "ugly duckling " . Banks later said that this was a very difficult time in his life and developed a " pretty major issue of concern about their image."
