Anderson Silva Biography

Anderson da Silva was born on April 14, 1975. It is a mixed martial arts practitioner who has competed in the middleweight Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Anderson Silva holds the longest reign in the history of the organization, and has the longest winning streak in UFC, with 16 wins and 10 title defenses.
He has broken records in the UFC and his amazing presentations, Anderson Silva is without a doubt one of the best mixed martial artists in history.


Beginnings
Anderson Silva was born on May 14, 1975, one of four children born to his parents.
The son of a poverty-stricken family spent most of his childhood with his aunt and uncle, a police officer from Curitiba (Brazil).

Silva began training Brazilian jiu-jitsu with the neighborhood kids who could afford to pay tuition. Silva said in an interview that "when I started training Jiu-Jitsu was really an elite sport in Brazil, and there was some bias towards the poorest children, so I had to learn many things on my own ... Some of my neighbors started doing jiu-jitsu, so I started to see them, and then began practicing with them. It was organized, but it was better than nothing. "At the age of twelve his family was able to pay the money to Silva began training tae kwon do, hence went to capoeira and finally settled in muay thai at sixteen.

Although Silva is mainly known for his mastery of muay thai, also black belt jiu-jitsu, a range that obtained in 2006 at the hands of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
Silva is also a black belt in taekwondo (he got at the age of eighteen), a black belt in Judo and a yellow ribbon in capoeira, aside from being a professional boxer.
After being a member of the Chute Boxe Academy, Silva left to form the Muay Thai Dream Team.
In late November 2006, he moved to the Black House gym to join the team training with Lyoto Machida, Vitor Belfort, Assuerio Silva and Nogueira brothers.
