Christopher Ashton Kutcher (born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States, February 7, 1978) is an American actor, producer and former model.
He is known for playing the role of Michael Kelso on That '70s Show series. He was the creator, executive producer and host of MTV's Punk'd where the famous jokes were made. He had roles in such films as Dude, Where's My Car?, Honeymooners, The Butterfly Effect, The Guardian and What Happens in Vegas. He is also the producer and co-creator of the television series Room 401 and the reality TV show Beauty and the Geek. Kutcher replaced Charlie Sheen in the hit American sitcom Two and a Half Men.
Kutcher was born in Cedar Rapids , Iowa Son of Diane Finegan , an employee of Procter & Gamble , and Larry Kutcher, who worked in a factory 2 Has General Mills.1 Czech descent on his father's side and Irish on his mother .3 he was raised in a Catholic home with his older sister, Tasha , and a twin brother , Michael Kutcher , who had a heart transplant when the brothers were young . His brother has cerebral palsy and is a spokesperson for the Foundation for Reaching the Stars.4 His childhood was difficult, and held various jobs , including carpentry , and other related farm life works .
He attended Washington High School in Cedar Rapids , Iowa, for about a year when his family moved to Tiffin , Iowa, where he attended Clear Creek Amana High - School. Besides being a student , he participated in the football team as a receiver. Meanwhile, his home life was stressful . In an interview he stated that " I did not want to come home and find out bad news about his brother " and " kept me so busy that did not allow me to feel it ." Kutcher admitted that as a teenager, thought about suicide. At thirteen , he tried to jump from a balcony of a hospital, but his father intervened at the last minute . Around that time, his parents divorced . During his senior year , he broke into the high school at night with his cousin in an attempt to steal money , but leave was arrested . Kutcher was convicted of third degree , for burglary and sentenced to three years probation and 180 hours of community service. Kutcher stated that although the experience " straightened him " , he lost his girlfriend and waited college scholarships , and he was ostracized at school and in their community.
Kutcher attended the University of Iowa, where he majored in biochemical engineering ( but did not receive any title ) , motivated by the desire to find a cure for his brother's heart ailment . At the University of Iowa, Kutcher was kicked out of his apartment for being too " noisy " and "wild" . Kutcher stated, " I thought I knew everything but I had no idea I was partying , and I woke up many mornings not knowing what I had done the night before I'm amazed not be dead . . ." He was a member of Delta Chi fraternity . To make ends meet , Kutcher to pay his college tuition in the summer worked at General Mills cereal factory in Cedar Rapids , and sometimes donated blood made money . During his time at the University , he approached a talent scout at a bar called The Airliner in Iowa City, Iowa, and was recruited to enter the " Fresh Faces of Iowa " modeling competition . After you register first , won a trip to New York to International Modeling and Talent Associatioin (IMTA ) Convention . After his stay in New York, Ashton returned home to Cedar Rapids , Iowa, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career .
