Owen Cunningham Wilson (born in Dallas, Texas, United States) (the November 18, 1968) is an American film actor and screenwriter. Known primarily for her roles in Zoolander and Shanghai Noon. As a writer he was nominated for an Oscar for best original screenplay for the script of the film The Royal Tenenbaums, written by Wes Anderson, with whom he has worked as an actor in several of his films.

Wilson was born in Dallas, Texas, son of photographer Laura Cunningham Wilson and Robert Andrew Wilson, an advertising executive and operator of a local television station. His family is Irish American and Roman Catholic. When he was old enough, he moved to Los Angeles with his brothers Luke and Andrew to develop as an actor.

Wilson's mother, Laura Wilson, a photographer by profession, has produced four books of photographs and worked as an assistant to Richard Avedon as he photographed for his series In the American West. He also is the brother of actors Andrew and Luke Wilson, is also a cousin of comedian Jack Black.
The January 10, 2011 Owen Wilson and Jade Duell were first time parents of a child which they named Robert Ford Wilson, born in Hawaii. Currently, Jade Duell is Wilson's ex-girlfriend, though they have good relationship.
