Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation donates $ 3 million to Nepal Tigers

The foundation created by actor Leonardo DiCaprio announced Thursday have donated three million dollars to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to double the tiger population in Nepal.

"Time is running out" for the Tigers, warns the hero of "Titanic" in a statement. The global tiger population has been declining and is currently estimated at 3,200.

The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation announced that it expects the donation
"to overcome the goal of doubling the number of these animals still living in the wild.

The government of Nepal announced in July that the population of Bengal tigers living in the wild on its territory increased by 64% over four years, with 198 animals counted.
