David Robert Joseph Beckham, OBE (Leytonstone, London, May 2, 1975) is an English former footballer. He developed the first eleven years of his career at Manchester United and then joined Real Madrid. Noted for his scoring in England, and his free throws, which have a devilish effect. Considered by many as the best free-throw shooter in the world because of its high accuracy and shooting power. He retired from football in Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1 in 2013.
David Robert Joseph Beckham was born on May 2 at Whipps Cross University Hospital in Leytonstone, London, England, the son of David Edward Alan "Ted" Beckham (b. Edmonton, London, July-September 1948), an employee of a factory kitchen equipment, and wife (m. London Borough of Hackney, 1969) Sandra Georgina West (b.1949), a hairdresser of Jewish origin, who had married in the London Borough of Hackney in 1969.
