Eva Jacqueline Longoria (Corpus Christi, Texas, March 15, 1975) is a film and television actress, model and businesswoman American of Mexican descent. He became best known for playing the role of Gabrielle Solis in the television series Desperate Housewives (2004-2012).

Eva Jacqueline Longoria was born in Corpus Christi , Nueces County, Texas, daughter Enrique Longoria and Ella Eva Mireles . He was raised Catholic , American-style . Longoria is the youngest of four daughters, her sisters being Elizabeth Judina , Emily Jeannette and Esmeralda Josephina .
Longoria originally wanted to be a fashion model and sent the photos to a modeling agency but was rejected because of his short stature. Longoria attended Marvin P. Baker Middle School and later Roy Miller High School, then received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Texas A & M University- Kingsville. During this time , she won the title of Miss Corpus Christi in 1998.

After finishing college , a talent led her to Los Angeles , California. Soon after, he was discovered and signed a contract with a theatrical agent .
Despite working on a farm inherited by his family often had shortage of money - Enrique and Ella struggled for many years to give their children a good education. At The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2006 program , Longoria shared with viewers an introspective view of the difficulties he faced in his years as a student and in a family with few resources ; took cameras to the family farm and showed hardness of his life at the time.
