Found dead actor Philip Seymour Hoffman

Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman , known for his role in the film Capote and a dozen Hollywood films , was found dead Sunday by the NYPD in his apartment in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan.
Causes of death, although according to New York Post would have been death by overdose is not known. Last year, the actor had admitted he was addicted to heroin. The newspaper notes that a personal assistant found the actor in the tub around noon with a needle in his arm, so he called 911 .


Hoffman, 46, had won an Oscar for his portrayal of journalist and writer Truman Capote. Couples was in 1999 with the seamstress Mimi O'Donnell and had three children.
