What is IHOP?
The International House of Pancakes (IHOP) is a restaurant established in the United States specializing in breakfast and owned by DineEquity.
Among the breakfasts are offered IHOP pancakes, waffles, French toast and omelets.
Until February 25, 2009, the chain had 1,950 restaurants in 49 states, the Virgin Islands of the United States, Canada and Mexico.
History of IHOP
Jerry Lapin, Al Lapin and Albert Kallis founded "The International House of Pancakes" in 1958 with the help of Sherwood Rosenberg.
The first restaurant opened in Toluca Lake on July 7, 1958. After opened more stores across the United States, in the provinces of British Columbia in Canada, and in the Mexican cities of Monterrey and Mexico. On 23 October 2006 it was announced that Ontario would expand by. IHOP is headquartered in Glendale, California.
The company uses "IHOP" as the primary name, but still uses its secondary name: "The International House of Pancakes"
In IHOP offer 4 syrup flavors: cranberry, boysenberry, butter pecan and strawberry. The boysenberry is in many places, but is replaced by plain syrup.
They also have hot maple service artificially flavored corn syrup, which were made to pancakes and waffles.
Recently introduced a major change in its basic menu, to try to be more than just breakfast.

There are also three different styles of crêpes, pancakes: the "German" (served with powdered sugar and lemon butter with lemon slices), the "French" (served with orange jelly) and the "Swedish" (served with blueberries red and above the flavor butter). These styles offer meat with an egg and what comes to be as the "International Passport Breakfast". Also sold belgicos toast and waffles.
