Barbosa is a member of the squads Permanent Artistic Gymnastics Women and was part of the Brazilian national team that won an unprecedented eighth place in the 2008 Olympics. Also belongs to the first athlete to medal contention in an open world championship and the best overall individual competition in an Olympic edition.
