A man was arrested in the house of Sandra Bullock in Los Angeles, California, was allegedly in the home for more than an hour before police were alerted to the fact.
Joshua James Corbett, 39, was also the owner of an illegal weapon, but did not have it with him when he allegedly entered the house of the actress, a prosecutor in Los Angeles.
Corbett, of Montrose, California, was indicted on charges of felony theft from a home, harassment and possession
of a firearm, according to the representative of the District Attorney Wendy Segall.
The prosecutor asked that bail for Corbett is of $ 185.000 when brought before a judge in Los Angeles Tuesday.
Apparently, Corbett climbed a fence with barbed wire to enter the property Bullock, west of Los Angeles, and came home around 05:00 Sunday according to Segall. Bullock was home at the time.
The LAPD said there was no distress call from home until 06:30 (local time), suggesting that the alleged thief was inside the property for more than an hour while the actress slept.
The prosecutor did not elaborate on where investigators found the gun man, ensuring only that Corbett "was not in possession of his gun at the time he entered the property Bullock."
More information about the possible release of Corbett was given, although it is known that man has a private pilot license.
The charges could carry a maximum sentence of seven years and four months in prison, should be found guilty, Segall said.
Bullock, who also has a home in Texas, was in Los Angeles this weekend to receive the Decade of Hotness Award at the Guys Choice Awards.
